Job Description:
IIT Bombay invites applications for faculty positions at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in multiple academic units. This is a rolling advertisement, and applications are processed periodically. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced research in your field of specialisation
  
• Publish in reputed national and international journals
  
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses
  
• Supervise research scholars (including Ph.D. students)
  
• Develop laboratories, courses, and contribute to institutional development
  
• Generate external funding and pursue innovation/patents where applicable
  

Duration: Permanent (full-time faculty positions)

Joining Date: As per the selection and appointment process

Eligibility Criteria:

• Academic Qualification: Ph.D. with a first-class or equivalent in the preceding degree and an excellent academic record throughout
  
• Experience:
  
  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Minimum 3 years post-Ph.D.D. experience
    
  • Assistant Professor Grade II: For those with less than 3 years post-Ph.D.D. experience
    
  • Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years post-Ph.D. with at least 3 years as Assistant Professor Grade I
    
  • Professor: Minimum 10 years post-Ph.D. with at least 4 years as Associate Professor
    
• Preferred Experience: Teaching, research, supervision of Ph.D. students, lab/course development, patents, and industry/academic funding contributions
