Job Description:
The Keshav Desiraju IMHO is seeking a Research Assistant to support its work in creating an open-access repository of mental health laws, policies, and services in India. The role involves a combination of research, writing, and communication work.

Location: Pune or Goa

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct desk research, data extraction, and collate information on the mental health system in India
  • Draft research outputs and publications such as annual reports, briefs, newsletters, and white papers
  • Support communication and dissemination of research
  • Develop and maintain the IMHO website and data platforms

Joining Date: as per selection 

Eligibility Criteria:
Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Health, Public Policy, or allied disciplines
  • 1–2 years of work experience in mental health, public health, law and policy reform, social justice, or related fields
  • Research experience in qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Proficiency in academic and policy writing in English

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in related fields
  • Experience in advocacy, communication, and network building
  • Proficiency in Hindi (verbal and written)
