Job description: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi invites applications from outstanding candidates for the positions of Assistant Professor (Grade-I and Grade-II) in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The institute is particularly interested in candidates specializing in areas related to educational technologies, pedagogy, and educational psychology, including but not limited to Technology Enhanced Learning, Educational Data Analytics, Game-based and Immersive Learning, and Education Policy.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with a strong academic record;
Grade-I candidates should have at least three years of post-PhD experience, while Grade-II positions are open to fresh Ph.D. holders and those with up to two years of postdoctoral experience.
These are full-time faculty roles with competitive pay structures as per the Seventh CPC and are subject to the Government of India’s reservation policies. The application process is entirely online, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
Eligibility Criteria: Qualifications and Experience:
- Assistant Professor Grade-I
Pay: Level 12, Cell 1 (₹1,01,500/- starting basic pay)
Qualification: Ph.D. in appropriate branch/discipline with first-class in preceding degree and strong academic record
Experience: Minimum 3 years post-PhD experience in research/teaching/industry (excluding Ph.D. period)
- Assistant Professor Grade-II
Pay:
Level 10, Cell 14 (₹84,700/-)
Level 11, Cell 10 (₹89,900/-)
Level 11, Cell 11 (₹92,600/-)
Qualification: Candidates with Post PhD experience less than 3 years (i.e. Fresh Ph.D., Ph.D.+1 year Experience, and Ph.D.+ 2 years Experience)
