Job description: The Counsellor will be responsible for providing mental health support and guidance to students in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs).
This includes conducting individual and group counselling sessions, addressing academic and personal challenges, supporting students’ emotional and psychological well-being, organizing mental health awareness activities, and collaborating with teachers and parents to foster a supportive school environment.
The role is focused on promoting holistic development and ensuring the psychological welfare of students in a residential school setup.
Roles and responsibility:
- Provide psychological counseling services to students.
- Promote mental health and emotional well-being in schools.
- Conduct sessions, maintain case records, and collaborate with school authorities.
- Address academic, personal, social, and behavioral concerns of students.
Eligibility Criteria: Qualifications and Experience:
- Candidates must meet the essential qualifications for the post of Counselor as per details available on the NVS website.
- A valid category certificate is required for SC/ST/PH candidates to claim exemption from the application fee
