Overview:
Symbiosis Centre for Emotional Wellbeing (SCEW), a part of Symbiosis International University (SIU), is seeking a dedicated Junior Psychological Counsellor to provide individual and group counselling to students. The role focuses on fostering emotional resilience and mental wellbeing within the student community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student mental health, with experience in assessments, therapy, and facilitating mental health-related events.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in counselling or psychotherapy
- Proficiency in individual and group therapy techniques
- Experience in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
- Skilled in organising and facilitating workshops, webinars, and mental health events
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Relevant licensure or certification is a plus
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling services to SIU students
- Conduct psychological assessments and prepare treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Plan and conduct mental health webinars, workshops, and events
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other mental health professionals
- Support students facing mental health concerns, including crisis situations
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing student emotional wellbeing
