Job Description: The Psychologist cum Coordinator will lead the implementation of the Mano-Ekta programme at the field level. This role combines clinical insight, programme coordination, and leadership.
The individual will be responsible for designing and facilitating internship trainings, mentoring lay counsellors, engaging with the community, and leading on-ground problem-solving. The position demands a mix of therapeutic knowledge, people management, and deep sensitivity to the lived realities of marginalised communities.
Location: Okhla office (HO), Sangam Vihar, Delhi (*Field 20%)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver internship training modules for psychology and non-psychology students.
- Handle logistics related to the arrangement of internships and various events.
- Supervise and direct the team of lay counsellors and peer leaders in field-based interventions, providing regular clinical and operational support. (Be actively involved in supervising and directing on a monthly basis)
- Co-design mental health screenings, case formulations, and lead individual/group counselling sessions when required and content development for various aspects of the programme.
- Plan and co-facilitate workshops, mental health camps, and community awareness sessions.
- Support translation of concepts into context-sensitive materials and tools (English/Hindi).
- Provide real-time problem-solving for field challenges, escalations, or participant needs.
- Ensure documentation, ethical practices, and monitoring tools are followed in coordination with the Programme Lead.
- Participate in team reviews, research documentation, and donor reporting where needed.
- Write a research paper as a co-author (2nd year)
- Monitoring and evaluation skills with data oversight and analysis (As per the need) and creating systems for data storage.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualifications: Master’s in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Social Work (with a focus on mental health).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in mental health service delivery, training, and community-based work.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring students or junior professionals.
- Skilled in designing content for training and field engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to hold emotional and practical complexity in the field.
- Comfortable with field documentation, case notes, and overseeing the data and conducting analysis.
- Desirable:
- Prior work in urban low-income communities or schools.
- Experience in trauma-informed care and community mobilisation.
- Bilingual fluency in Hindi and English (spoken and written).
