The Therapy Park (TTP) is a therapist- and client-centred collective based in Kolkata, offering trauma-informed, culturally and politically sensitive mental health care through a decolonised, non-pathologising lens. We are currently hiring for multiple paid positions across formats.

TTP was founded by counselling Psychologist, Narrative therapist, & Somatic EMDR practitioner, Akshita Pandey. TTP is established with an offline office in Ballygunge, Kolkata.
About the role: As a psychology intern at TTP you will be a part of a small but growing team offering psychological care. You will receive hands-on exposure to setting up and running a team practice, delivering evidence-based psychological interventions, case discussions and guidance under established psychologists. You will also be required to occasionally engage in content development, strategising, documentation in order to deepen your understanding of psychology, ethical psychotherapy, and client engagement as well as management skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Available 4 days a week, for a minimum of 45 days to 6 months.
2. Providing online/offline sliding scale fee sessions with clients under guidance (for Master’s students 3rd semester onwards)
3. Observation and note-taking
4. Client intake calls
5. Assisting the team with scheduling
6. Creating content for psycho-education (written/video/audio for instagram/linkedin/blog posts)
7. Coordinating with social media, website, and admin teams
8. Collating research, assessments, worksheets for the team
9. Engage in your own personal therapy
- Counselling Psychologists

About the role: We are seeking skilled and compassionate Counselling Psychologists to join our growing mental health practice. In this role, you will provide evidence-based psychological interventions to clients experiencing a wide range of emotional, mental, and behavioral difficulties. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support individuals in achieving improved mental well-being and personal growth. This role is ideal for a practitioner who values client-centered care, political and cultural sensitivity, and ongoing professional development.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Available minimum 2 days a week (flexible timings)
- Provide individual/couple/group therapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities
- Develop and implement tailored interventions collaboratively with clients
- Maintain client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
- Engage in personal therapy, supervision and professional development activities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current research and psychological practices
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Creating content for psycho-education (written/video/audio for instagram/linkedin/blog posts)
Candidate requirements:
- Master’s in Counselling/Applied Psychology
- Proficiency in >2 modalities
- Strong counselling microskills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Prior experience of client-facing work is appreciated, however, not necessary
- Commitment to continued professional development
- Experience with specific populations, additional trainings /diplomas /certifications will be an advantage, although not necessary
