Job Description:
Indian Grameen Services (IGS), a not-for-profit organisation promoting sustainable livelihoods in rural and forest areas, is seeking a Social Mobilisation Officer to join their team in Sonitpur. The role involves planning and executing social mobilisation activities, fieldwork, documentation, and coordination with regional offices. Location: Sonitpur, Assam
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement social mobilisation activities in target areas
- Support the preparation of activity plans and budgets
- Create and maintain reports, documentation, and MIS as per funder requirements
- Coordinate with the Regional Office and follow up on tasks
- Train and guide social mobilizers and local partners
- Identify and collaborate with local organisations
- Design, test, and produce social mobilisation materials
- Spend 15–20 days per month in the field
- Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by the RO

Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduation or Post-Graduation in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 4 years of field experience
- Strong communication and writing skills in Hindi and English
- Proficiency in MS Office and Internet
- Willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork
- Women candidates are especially encouraged to apply
Salary: ₹45,000 per month
